This Bird Of Prey Bicycle Moves Faster and More Elegantly Than Any Bike You've Ever Had

California-based designer John Aldridge thinks the traditional bike is fine and dandy, i.e. it gets you to where to need to be in a reasonable fashion. But, as a designer, he clearly sees room for improvement. His Bird of Prey bicycle keeps the advantages of aerodynamics in mind, for a faster ride than you ever experienced. The coolest part? You'll look like Superman while doing it.
So, this is the custom design bicycle that is looking to revolutionize the way people ride. The headfirst prone bike has you leaning forward unlike the traditional upright position.
This is what that would look like. The forward facing position improves aerodynamics, much like how swimming parallel is much easier than with your body upright: you can 'cut' through the space.
Also, with being parallel to the ground, this allows for more maneuverability, which makes avoiding wrecks and other dangers much easier. Sudden stops are less likely to throw you over the handle bars as well.
Right now, Bird of Prey bikes are being custom built for between $7,000 and $8,500. So, if you don't have that kind of money right now, just enjoy this video shot in action from a GoPro:
