This Museum Can Fit In Your Backpack And You Can Take It Everywhere

by N/A, 10 years ago | 2 min read

Museums are an incredible piece of what services the public. They teach attendees about all the things that have happened throughout various points in history. There's endless things to look at and learn from, but the thing is, not everyone is into making a day trip out of all this. The Mini Museum aims to change all that.

The Mini Museum is small enough to fit on your desk, or anywhere you decide to put it really. You can take it with you, and it's packed full of rich history.

Customers receive a block of resin full of everything from Stegosaurus bone to mammoth meat and the Berlin Wall are all encased in these tiny creations. What's even more impressive: each artifact has been authenticated as the real deal.

The artifacts come from Hans Fex, who's been collecting sine he was a young boy. At just 11-years-old, Fex came up with the idea for museum-like blocks, and has been collecting ever since.

Fex has met with curators, had his collected items examined by experts and even gathered more materials along the way. He made a trip to Romania in search of a scoop of dirt from Vlad the Impaler's castle–he got it.

His hard work cost at estimated $300,000 and he had to quit his job. Luckily, a Kickstarter campaign last year saw 5,030 pledgers donate $1,226,811.

Each block has a film marked "gratitude" in which he gives thanks to those backers who've supported his journey into the history books, literally...

And not to be outdone by all the mini artifacts included in the set, Fex gives away a piece of his glorious beard in the gratitude section.

In fact, the feedback from customers has been so great, Fex is coming out with a new batch of the mini museums which include: mammoth meat, medieval chain mail, dinosaur skin, and more...

They come in varying sizes and are all beautifully encased in high-quality acrylic. If you want to back Hex and his mini museum creations, there is a second Kickstarter campaign that is currently ongoing.

Now may be your only chance to own a piece of Mt. Fuji or some grains of Japanese star sand.
