After Seeing This 50-Lane Traffic Jam In China, You'll Never Complain About Traffic Again

Golden Week in China is a week-long national holiday when workers are given three days of paid vacation with the surrounding weekends; so that's a full seven days off. So, with everyone (i.e. China's population ofÂ 1.3 billion)Â taking off for holiday and leaving the cities, then all attempting to make it back home to get back to work, things were gridlocked on the highways.

Yeah, that's a lot of people on the road is basically what they're saying...

Still think the traffic you deal with is bad? You should be feeling bad for these people instead.

Seriously?! This is just unreal.

Sitting in this would take so much patience. How are people not just baling and leaving their cars behind at this point?

Can you even imagine?

It just doesn't even make sense.

Not only did the amount of motorists on the road cause the backup, but this new checkpoint didn't help the situation...

This was the worst timing possible.

Just, wow...

To think, they were just on a week of vacation, presumably having an incredibly relaxing time, and now they're all forced to deal with this nightmare. Welcome back, folks!

This is not even that bad compartively speaking. In 2010, a traffic jam between Beijing and Inner-Mongolia lasted 12 days and streatched 60 miles, leaving some motorist stranded for up to five days.

So, long story short: stop complaining about your work commute, because you don't even know.
