After Seeing This 50-Lane Traffic Jam In China, You'll Never Complain About Traffic Again
Golden Week in China is a week-long national holiday when workers are given three days of paid vacation with the surrounding weekends; so that's a full seven days off. So, with everyone (i.e. China's population of 1.3 billion) taking off for holiday and leaving the cities, then all attempting to make it back home to get back to work, things were gridlocked on the highways.
Still think the traffic you deal with is bad? You should be feeling bad for these people instead.
Sitting in this would take so much patience. How are people not just baling and leaving their cars behind at this point?
It just doesn't even make sense.
This was the worst timing possible.
We are so sorry for these people.
To think, they were just on a week of vacation, presumably having an incredibly relaxing time, and now they're all forced to deal with this nightmare. Welcome back, folks!
So, long story short: stop complaining about your work commute, because you don't even know.
