Don't tear up - smile instead.Â
Six-year-old Jaden Hayes lost both of his parents at a very young age, but was tired of people around him being sad - so he made it his goal to make people smile.
He tragically lost his dad at age four and his mom this past summer.
Though he is understandably heartbroken, he told his aunt and guardian, Barbara DiCola, that he was "sick and tired of seeing everyone sad all the time."
His plan to fix it? Make EVERYONE smile.
Jaden and Barbara handed out toys including rubber ducks and dinosaurs to strangers in downtown Savannah.
"I'm trying to make people smile!" Jaden said.
He expects nothing in return but a smile.Â
It's actually impossible not to smile when you're in Jaden's presence.
His gesture is typically received with overwhelming compassion.
"The more people he made smile, the more this light shone," Barbara said of Jaden's quest.
Jaden says that he's made 500 people smile, but his goal is to get to at least 33,000.
"I think I can!" he says.
You go, Jaden.
