If you're like most people that have have read or seen Peter Pan - and let's be honest, you should at least have one of those checked off - than you were probably smitten by his picturesquely dreamlike home: Neverland.
Well, for those of you that still have a lingering yearning to some day visit the childhood dreamland - or something like it - I have good news. That day is here.
Just outside Atlanta, in the serene woods of its suburbs, lies this hidden gem: a real-life, miniature Neverland.
It may not have the elaborate skateboard tracks and winding slides...
But it has all the same dreamlike qualities Pan's haven, namely its unmistakable fairytale ambience.
And if you're worried about falling behind with daily responsibilities, don't. It's equipped with wifi.
Oh and as an added bonus, Peter (not Pan, but the owner) and his wife greet you upon arrival with wine and snacks, and bring you a fresh pot of coffee each morning you're there. Talk about a dream.
And the interior? As quaint and inviting as you'd expect it to be.
Laden with rustic decorations and warm furnishings, its rooms are absolutely perfect for simply unplugging and relaxing.
To get the most out of the nature-filled experience, the bed is also positioned half outside and half inside, so you can stargaze as you doze off.
In the case of rain though, the bed is easily moveable and can be brought inside, which is equally as peaceful.
The adorable domicile also includes a lofted turret porch, equipped with a suspended hammock.
Oh, and the views aren't half bad either.
Soft mood lighting and billowing curtains are integrated throughout to enhance the dreamlike ambience.
It may not necessarily be your exact idea of Neverland, but it sure doesn't fall short in many places.
And for where it does? Use your imagination.
