These Friends Captured Amazing Aerial Footage Of The Grand Canyon From Space

by N/A, 10 years ago | 1 min read

In June 2013, videographer Bryan Chan and a group of his friends launched a weather balloon from Tuba City, Arizona, equipped with a GoPro Hero3, Samsung Galaxy Note II, and a Sony Camcorder, in the hopes of capturing high-altitude, aerial footage of the Grand Canyon.

The group was successful in the mission, but failed to locate the cameras once they had descended. Two years later, and much to their excitement, they were found by a biker, and returned to them. Here is the footage they captured.
