Petting this caterpillar will put you in the hospital.Â
This is the Puss Caterpillar. It got its name because it's extremely furry and looks sort of like a cat.
However, don't let this caterpillar's similarities to your feline friends fool you. The Puss Caterpillar is extremely poisonous. They're the most dangerous caterpillar in North America.
Jokingly referred to as the "toxic toupee," these caterpillars are extremely dangerous and should never be touched.
There are poisonous spines hiding underneath their long hair which can land you in the hospital after just a quick swipe.
