Some say dogs can sense imminent death. In Hinduism, dogs are believed to be the messengers of death. Regardless of what you believe, shelter dogs Kala and Keira certainly make a case for having the preternatural sense.
Hours before being euthanized, the two shared in a panicked embrace, with Kala hugging Keira with both paws. The image was captured and shared on Facebook and two hours later, Georgia based pet rescue, Angels Among Us, caught wind of the photo. Minutes later, they'd found the dogs a home.
This is the hug the two trembling pups shared as they were being processed to be put down.

Exactly two hours and six minutes later, just minutes before being euthanized, the viral picture found the two a home, with the admirable help of Angels Among Us.
The pet rescue organization posted the picture on their website, and immediately, the messages came pouring in.
While stories like this aren't exactly common for them, saving the lives of endangered animals most definitely is.
