This Guy Traveled the World to See Beautiful Churches Then Built One on His Own
Barry Cox was inspired after traveling the world and seeing so many different and beautiful churches all over the planet that he decided to make one of his own. Today the church looks like an absolute dream.Â
He started by making an iron frame for the walls and to use as an outline for the church. He had done previous research throughout the years about churches so he used his past knowledge as a guide for building his own. He said, "I wanted the roof and the walls to be distinctly different, to highlight the proportions, just like masonry churches."
His company, Treelocations, specializes in transplanting living trees. This allowed Cox to bring in any kind of tree he wanted for his church and for it to be already living and full.
According to the Tree Church website, the church is set on 3-acres of garden and includes the following:
Extensive gardens
Off road car parking
Labyrinth walk
Areas for photographic opportunities
Shaded area under a large canopy
Toilet
