Austrian artist Erwin Wurm is famous for his unique street art installations, namely, his "distorted vehicle" pieces. Recently, he created one in Karlsruhe, Germany to commemorate the city's 300th birthday: a bent, red Mercedes MB100D.
Not long after though, the piece titled "Truck" - whose back wheels rest on the side of a building - was hilariously ticketed by officials for a committing "parking violation."
Wurm's installation was intended to show "the mundane from a different perspective," but apparently that perspective wasn't properly parked.
IT'S BENT ON A DAMN BUILDING, PEOPLE. HOW DO YOU NOT ASSUME THAT IT"S ART?
Fortunately, the mayor of the city, Frank Mentrup, announced that he would "fix" the ticket, so the art installation could remain "illegally parked."
*Hearty applause*
