7 Super Easy Ways To Improve Your Diet Immediately
BuzzFeed talked with a couple nutritionists and got some insight on how to improve your diet without drastically changing your lifestyle. Here a few simple ideas that can really go a long way for you and your body.Â
Use frozen veggies as much as you can. Frozen veggies are a miracle because they are, what some would call, a little bit of frozen freshness. You can put them in smoothies, add them to a dinner entree, or a breakfast omelette. Vegetables hold a ton of nutrients for the body, so eating as much as you can will only help your body feel better!
If you buy healthy food at the store, chances are you'll be a little less likely to eat out as much during the week. If you REALLY want to help kick your fast food craving, try grocery shopping on Friday afternoon. It will make you more obliged to eat in on the weekend. You'll save money and feel better!
Vegetables are a huge source of nutrition for humans. Putting more veggies on your plate and having a goal to eat as much of them as you can is a good way to get all the nutrition you need.Â
Try putting the snack you're going to eat in a bowl before chowing down from the bag. When you eat chips or pretzels or anything from the bag or container it comes from, you're more likely to eat more without even realizing.Â
Drink as much water as you can!! Bring a water bottle with you wherever you go, it is easy to stay hydrated when you have one on you.Â
Prep your meals for the week. Make an extra serving of dinner and add it to your lunch the following day, and try to cut up some fruits and veggies for the work week during the weekend. It is easier to take your lunch if you spend time planning it out before you leave for work in the morning.Â
Don't cut out your favorite dessert altogether, that would be crazy and probably have adverse effects on your diet. Instead of setting hard limits on things you should't eat, try to control the portion size of your favorite dessert. Eating chocolate cake is still going to be amazing if you have a smaller piece.Â
