After having his first kid in 2014, artist Kyson Dana decided it was time to break free from his staid wed designer job and get back to his roots of drawing.
He wanted to do something for his son, Theo, so he decided to start drawing animals that started with each letter, A to Z, to help teach him the alphabet. But Dana didn't want them to be like all the other cheesy, overly cartoonistic illustrations in kids books - he wanted them to be something his son would be proud of when he's older. So he came up with these.
"F is for Fox"
"H is for Hawk"
"J is for Jaguar"
"K is for Koi"
"O is for Octopus"
"P is for Peacock"
"R is for Rabbit"
"S is for Sea Turtle"
"T is for Trout"
"U is for Unua"
"Y is for Yak"
"V is for Vulture"
"X is for X-Ray Fish"
"Z is for Zebra"
Yeah, I think his son will be proud of these when he's older. In fact, he already looks like he is.
"Yeah, that's my dad.
