Each year, there are millions of fatal car accidents caused by animals - often times larger ones like deer, elk, caribou, bears, moose, you get the idea. The costs incurred by these accidents are incredibly high - for some countries, in the billions.
To minimize these fatal accidents, as well as the ensuing expenses, many countries with forestation and other large wildlife habitats have employed the use of 'animal crossings' - bridges for these herd animals to use when migrating or relocating.
And not only are they beautiful, they're doing exactly what they were designed to do - save lives, people and animals alike.
