This 9-Year-Old Girl May Have Finally Found The Solution To Actually Helping The Homeless
Despite being only 9 years old, Hailey Fort has done more to help the homeless and needy than many of us have in our entire lives.
The young, altruistic Seattle native spends much of her time building small mobile shelters for the homeless in her area, along with growing fruit and vegetables in her own garden to give to them as well. And while her efforts certainly have the ability to make the average person convicted of their lack of charity, they're infinitely more inspiring.
Hailey's shelters aren't poorly built either - they're the real deal. Each comes with professional sliding windows, denim insulation, and linoleum flooring.
“It just doesn’t seem right that there are homeless people. I think everyone should have a place to live,†Hailey told King 5 News.
This year, her goal is to grow 250lbs of food, build 12 shelters, and deliver thousands of toiletries and hygienic items to the homeless people of Seattle.
