Haier Asia‘s AQUA brand may have just become Star Wars fans' favorite brand in the world. They also may have caused more than a few panic attacks.
The Japan-based company recently announced its latest creation: a life-sized, remote-controlled R2D2 refrigerator, that has all the bells and whistles you'd hope it would, and then some.
Not only does it look and move exactly like R2...
It also brings your drinks TO YOU.
That's right, you can command R2 to deliver you a cold one without moving an inch.
Well, other than the effort required to use the remote of course.
Aside from just that, he also moves and "speaks" just as the lovable little astromech droid does in the movies.
So yeah, he's pretty much the perfect combination between a roommate and a pet, just without the annoyances and maintenance. Oh and did I mention he does stuff for you?
Next, they need to make a C-3PO that makes cocktails.
The genius product doesn't come out until some time in 2016, so you'll have to get your own drinks for another few months, sadly. Just keep hangin' in there.
