Scotland Just Banned Creationism From Science Classroom, And The Reason Is Pretty Simple

The Scottish Secular Society has been pushing for banning Creationism from science classrooms, and they've finally gotten what they've wanted.Â
The Scottish government has reached a decision based on a petition that the Scottish Secular Society submitted in 2014 that Creationism was not allowed to be taught in the context of a scientific study. And earlier in May 2015, the Scottish Government issued a statement that there was no need for Creationism to be taught in a scientific class.Â
Teachers are welcome to talk about Creationism while teaching about religion or theology, said the Scottish representative, but the government does not recognize it as a science, and it should not be taught as a science.
England and Wales have similar bands on Creationism being taught as science.Â
