Courtney Vashaw is a teacher at Profile Junior-Senior High School in Bethlehem, New Hampshire. She's a passionate teacher who, according to herself and her students, has always taught selflessness in her classroom. Recently, Vashaw was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer, and despite her tendency to keep things close to the chest, she felt she needed to share the news with the students in her senior class.Â
And soon after hearing about the diagnosis, her students revealed that instead of going on the senior trip they had spent four years saving up for, they were going to donate the money to her treatment.
The students had raised $8,000 and instead of going on an elaborate trip that would necessitate these funds, they were just going to go somewhere nearby for a nice day out. The money would all be given to their teacher. In addition to this, they're planning more fundraisers for her, according to WMUR0 ABC.Â
The students had nothing but nice things to say about the teacher they did this immensely generous thing for.
Nothing but love here!
The full video is incredibly moving.
