There are a lot of words in the English language, but there are also a lot of words from other languages that have no real good translation for English. Marija Tiurina, an artist from the UK, created these illustrations that represent some of those words that just can't easily be translated.
1. Cafuné: The act of running fingers through someone's hair
2. Palegg: Anything that can be put on a piece of bread
3. Gufra: The total amount of water that can be held in your hand
4. Baku-Shan: A beautiful girl being viewed from behind
5. Schlimazl: A constantly unlucky person
6. Duende: The power that art has to move people
7. Age-Otori: A haircut where you look worse after
8. Kyoikumama: A mom who constnatly pushes her kids on academic performance
9. L’appel Duvide: The urge people feel to jump from high places
10. Luftmensch: A person who is a dreamer
11. Tretar: The second refill you get
12. Torchlusspanik: The fear of receiving less opportunities as someone gets older
13. Schadenfreude: Feeling joy from someone elses misfortunue
14. Tingo: Taking things
