This Map Has A Crazy Answer To Where You're From According To Your Soft Drink Dialect
Soda? Pop? Coke? What do you ask for when ordering a soft drink?! This is what the rest of the country does, check it out!
From this map it looks like most people from the North East and South West say Soda, while a majority of people in the south and south east say Coke, and a majority of the rest of the country calls a soft drink Pop.Â
This map  was created by Matthew Campbell and Prof. Greg Plumb of East Central University in Oklahoma. They used specific data arranged by county to gather their results.Â
The website, Pop vs Soda, allows you to take a survey to answer what generic word you use when asking for a soft drink. Alan McConchie has been using this as a way to measure who says what and where people are from. According to data collected he found about 75% of Californians say "soda" when asking for a soft drink.
