The First Official Picture of the Entire Suicide Squad is Out, And They Look Amazing
There have been some pictures leaking (and one official) from the upcoming Suicide Squad film, where DC villains are forced to work for the government in order to reduce their sentences. Over the weekend though, director David Ayer released the first official image of Task Force X.
The cast includes Adam Beach playing an unknown character (though many believe he'll be playing Slipknot), Jai Courtney playing Captain Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo.Â
Missing from the picture is Jared Leto's Joker and Viola Davis as the team's handler, Amanda Waller.
Slipknot, aka Christopher Weiss, is thought to have worked as a Chemist at some point in his life, and the ropes he uses are covered in an incredibly powerful adhesive.
Captain Boomerang is the name of two villains in the DC universe, George"Digger" Harkness and Owen Mercer. It's not clear which character Courtney will be playing in the upcoming film. He carries an array of specialty powered boomerangs with him, including blades, explosive and electrified.Â
Enchantress has been both a hero and a villain in her time. She is an incredibly powerful sorceress and can manipulate magic in many different ways.
Katana is an incredibly skilled in swordsmanship and hand to hand combat, having been trained by an expert samurai.
Rick Flagg is actually one of three characters, a father, son and grandson. The movie version will likely be the middle of the three Flaggs, but that hasn't been confirmed. He doesn't have any superpowers but is an expert soldier.
Haley Quinn, aka Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, is an ex-psychologist turned villain after meeting the Joker. She is an incredibly talented gymnast and martial artist, as well as being incredibly smart and having very little regard for human life.
Deadshot, aka Floyd Lawton, is an expert marksman and has a cybernetic eye which helps with increased accuracy.
Killer Croc was born with a disorder that makes him have inherited traits of reptiles. The movie version of Croc looks much less than a crocodile than comic book versions of the character.
El Diablo is the name of a few different baddies in the DC universe, Lazarus Lane, Rafael Sandoval and Chato Santana. Hernandez will be portraying Chato Santana in Suicide Squad.
