This Dutch Owl Lands On People's Heads Just Because It Damn Well Can
An owl with a strange obsession is terrorizing the citizens of the small Dutch town, Noordeinde, while simultaneously putting it on the map. Suffice it to say, residents are conflicted. Fortunately, one man captured its curious shenanigans.
"No? Great, thanks. Don't mind my talons."
Fortunately, Menno Shaefer, a 48-year-old from Zaandam, Netherlands, managed to document the trouble-maker. Shaefer had this to say to the NL Times, “Whilst photographing the owl, it did try to land one my head once, however, as soon as I lifted my camera to get a shot, the owl flew onto my neighbor standing by my side. It was a very funny thing to watch, however I’m just as confused as anyone as to why it does this.â€
Which is a logical assumption, seeing as most wild birds don't feel the innate urge to land on human beings, let alone their heads.
Perch on, feathered prankster, perch on.
