We're not throwing shade at therapy dogs, or any other animal. Therapy animals have an incredible amount of value, and according to someone at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital,  animals can help lower patients' cortisol level, which is a hormone associated with stress.Â
All we're saying is...if you could pick any therapy animal you want...wouldn't a llama be a freaking amazing choice!?Â
Pearl the therapy llama is very much living proof of that.
She's part of a non-profit filled with animals that go around to places like hospitals, schools and libraries in order to make people's days a bit brighter. The organization is called Mid South Therapy Dogs and Friends.
Check out their homepage here!
Look at those faces. Those are people whose lives have just been made a little better by spending some time with Pearl.
You can just see the stress hormones floating away...
We love you, Pearl!
