Autism is an incredibly complex disorder that is all too often misunderstood by many. And if you don't personally know someone who has it, there's no shame in not being able to.
But what many people wrongly assume, is that it only inhibits or limits an individual's abilities. This couldn't be further from the truth though. While autism does hinder the development of things like social and relational skills, it has a strongly enhancing effect on many capabilities.
For this particular 11-year-old boy, it's given him an impeccable memory and an unbelievable eye for detail. His mother, a New York professor, invited him to class one day, where he proceeded to draw a flawlessly accurate map of the world...entirely from memory.
Yes, it's 100% accurate.
And keep in mind, this was an 11-year-old that did this...
