You've probably heard the idiom "one man's trash is another man's treasure." It may sound like some cryptic thing one of your grandparents might say, leaving you mystified...but there's a lot of merit to this sentiment.Â
And what if treasure were just the beginning? What if one person's trash could provide a real home for someone else?Â
Meet Gregory Kloehn.
Kloehn is an artist in Oakland, California, who has started one of the greatest projects we've heard of recently.
Kloehn finds articles in the trash that can be used for architectural purposes, and utilizes them to make adorable, tiny little houses.
And these ingenious structures are used to provide some housing for homeless people around Oakland!
Adorable, but durable and extremely practical.

The project is known as the Homeless Homes project, and its aim is to help out homeless people and make their days, and nights, just a little less scary and tumultuous.

It's a great project, and while Kloehn should certainly be applauded for spearheading this project, it makes us want to ask—can't we all do something like this? Can't we all apply our strengths towards helping those less fortunate? And if we can...shouldn't we start?
