Would You Live in an Old Abandoned Church? This Couple Chose To, and It's Pretty Cool

Since 1792, the small, Saxon "St. Nicholas Church," has remained structurally sound, despite withstanding the countless storms and winters that come with over two centuries of seasons. It remained in use, all those many years, all the way up until 1970, when it was vacated and left to deteriorate.
Recently however, a London-based real estate group claimed the property, giving it a comprehensive, head-to-toe renovation. Except, they didn't renovate it to lease as a church - the group rebuilt it to be a house.
Not long after the remodeling was finished, a couple fell in love with the unique and historic home, buying it outright. Now, St. Nicholas "church-home" is their own private sanctuary.

The headstones may off-put some, but don't be deceived by the homes archaic exterior...
Because the inside is unlike anything you've seen.
The remodeling took almost 6 years to complete, but the presiding real estate company knew it'd be worth it.
The home possesses a look and feel that goes beyond just being "unique."
It's an integration of richly significant history, and impeccable renovation.
And while some parts of it still very much exude a cathedral-like vibe
Others hold more of a contemporary personality.
And although it may not be for everyone's liking...
This couple sure appreciates it's rare and distinctive beauty.
