Brandon Stanton, the photographer behind the project, goes around the city, taking pictures of the people we pass every day, and gets their stories
Recently, he met this woman, whose name just happens to be Beyoncé
“Sometimes I hate my name because it always draws attention to me, and I’m not a very social person. My family moved this year from Pennsylvania. I was so scared the first day of school that someone would notice me. I wouldn’t even adjust my seat because I thought it would make a noise. One time I really had to cough, but I held it in. When the teacher started calling attendance, I got really nervous, because every time people learn my name is Beyoncé, somebody starts singing ‘Single
People in the comments were quick to come to Beyoncé's side with their own stories...
Turns out there are a ton of people on Facebook who have doppelgänger celebrity names
From famous twins...
To huge movie stars.
Some people get noticed by the famous people their namesakes get recognized for...
Others just had unfortunate names
This one would be real rough in middle school
I wonder what Jane's dad did for a living...
And this woman has spent her life in Beyoncé's shadow
And this woman has it ROUGH
This woman has had a spice filled life
Where as this guy who probably hates all condiments
And this Little Rascal
Luckily, she's America's Sweetheart
This woman has very honest hips, thank you very much.
I'd be careful if you're walking down the aisle to meet her
I'm not even sure what to say about this one
Hey, there were a few movies and books about her!
