1. Their skulls were so hearty, scientists thing they might have been formidable head-butting opponents to the modern day bighorn sheep.
2. They had a pretty diverse background, having been reported living everywhere from Alberta to New Mexico.
3. Although many creatures from this era had poor vision, the Stegoceras actually had pretty good vision.
4. For a long time, scientists thought that the Troodon and Stegoceras fossils they were examining were coming from the same creature.
5. The word "Stegoceras" actually means "horned roof."
6. The necks of these creatures were s- or u-shaped, but many early renderings of them show them as having straight necks.
7. They had tiny front limbs—actually three times shorter than the back limbs.
