Diamond is one of far too many dogs who have experienced serious physical abuse.Â
When she was rescued by a shelter in Georgia, she had scars covering her body. Neely Conway, a volunteer at the shelter that found her, posted on Reddit pleading for someone to take this beautiful dog.Â
She found Melinda Maguire.Â
Melinda Maguire was immediately drawn to Diamond. She hadn't really been in the market for a dog, but when she saw Diamond, she just knew.
There was a long road ahead to recovery for Diamond, though. Among many ailments, the scars Diamond had incurred were painful and reacted to too much sunlight.
They'd blister and cause her a lot of pain. So Melinda had an idea...
She outfitted Diamond in absolutely ADORABLE little outfits!
But in addition to being adorable, Diamond's outfits cover up her painful scares so they're not exposed to too much sunlight.
She is now called "Diamond the Diva," and rightfully so...
She's like a little Jackie Onassis in that outfit!
