We know, you hated high school geology - join the rest of the world. It's hard to get into the whole "Earth's crust and other inanimate objects" thing unless you have a passion for solidified sand, or are still holding onto that pledge you made when you were ten to find what remains of the characters from "Land Before Time."
If you don't fall into either of these groups, rocks probably don't turn your crank a ton (unless they're precious stones and you're a normal person, which in this case doesn't count.) Alas, meet the first one that will - the "Dino Pet." And unlike every other rock - including diamonds - it's an actual living thing.
The aqua-marine glow you see is created by "dinoflagellates" - a type of single cell plankton with bioluminescent properties. Being moved or set abruptly in motion is what illuminates them
You may have seen the glowing beaches of The Maldives before too. That's due to the same thing; the water's riddled with the same remarkable dinoflagellates
The "Dino Pet," by BioPop, is essentially a small aquarium, conducive for holding these bright little guys
To trigger it's ebullient glow, just give it a healthy shake and you'll have blissful mood lighting in an instant
