Mars One is a not-for-profit foundation that is aiming to establish a human settlement on Mars. Their first unmanned mission will begin in 2018 and by 2024 they will start sending 4 humans to Mars every two years. The biggest shocker about this? If you apply to go to Mars and get picked to relocate to the red planet, you will never return. Would you ever want to take that journey? Meet some of the people who do.

Meet three of the brave people who applied for this journey.

Dina Masodi, Ryan MacDonald and Jeremias Naiene all have backgrounds in science and all want to make a difference in the world and believe moving to Mars would be a great accomplishment. 

Dina is a computer science graduate. She was asked if she thinks it is crazy to agree to go to Mars, and her answer was it's only as "crazy" as getting married, having kids and dying.

Dina is an Iraqi-American and knew when she left her family in Iraq it was a "forever" kind of goodbye, she feels like moving to Mars would be similar. 

Dina's thought about dying on Mars:
Ryan studies physics in the U.K. and wants to go to Mars to leave behind a legacy here on Earth.

He thinks one of the hardest parts about going to Mars would be leaving everyone behind.

Lastly, Jeremias is a Doctor from Mozambique and believes some of the problems here on Earth are unsolvable and the answer is to start over in a new place. His thought about dying are:
