There are a multitude of historical libraries still in the world today, that are awe-inspiring both for their collection of rare and ancient manuscripts, and their sheer magnificent beauty. But there is only one that will distinctly remind you of one of your favorite classic Disney movies, "Beauty and the Beast"
Cue Admont Abbey.
The archaic book depository is the oldest monastic (once owned and operated by monks) library in the world. And its intricate murals and lavish decorations are eerily reminiscent of the one in the Beast's manor. So much so that renowned photographer and artist, Benjamin Von Wong, felt obliged to do a photoshoot in it. The results? Extraordinary.
A view from one of the entryways. Just, majestic
And the team is dressed for the occasion
Finally set up and ready to go
And the rest, as they say, is history (pun intended)
Von Wong's work really is pure beauty
They would've made Beast proud
