Spring is only a few months away, so if you’re looking for your next art project, “Moss Graffiti” just might be EVERYTHING you’ve been looking for.
What you’ll need:
- A handful of moss
- 2 cups of buttermilk or yogurt
- 2 cups of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
- Corn syrup
Step #1: Find some moss
It’s typically located outside on damp surfaces and rocks. You can also purchase it at a garden store.
Step #2: Wash as much soil out of the the roots of the moss, as much as possible.
Step #3: Break up the moss and put it into a blender.
Step #4: Add buttermilk or yogurt, 2 cups of water, and 1/2 tsp. of sugar.
You can add corn syrup if you wish to thicken the paste.
Step #5: Pour the mixture into a bucket. Be careful not to overblend, because you want the moss to remain intact.
Step #6: Now it’s time for the fun to begin! Grab a paint brush and you’re ready!
Step #7: Paint whatever your heart desires (works best on concrete walls), and check back on it as the weeks past.
Spraying your design with water will help the moss to grow a bit quicker.
And your creativity doesn’t have to end there!
Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to create incredible pieces like this…
So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and show the world how amazing Moss Graffiti truly is!
