These are the facts you need to know about this much loved musical.
1. The children on the cast were allowed to work at night.
The governor of New Jersey, where the movie was filmed, amended a bill that allowed minors to work any hours of the day or night but didn't change the amount of hours they were allowed to work.
2. The director was a real-life Daddy Warbucks.
John Huston was known for directing much darker films. Some thought he only took Annie for the money.
3. Annie was the most expensive musical ever created in 1982.
The movie cost nearly $40 million to produce, but didn't make nearly enough in revenue to cover production costs.
