Talented artist Rebecca Szeto of San Francisco uses paintbrushes to create her pieces, but it's not exactly how you'd expect. The brushes ARE the artwork.
Instead of painting with the paintbrushes, she chisels and carves the handles into refined renaissance women and uses the hairs of the brush as their elegant gowns.
“These works play with notions of re-forming beauty and value,” says Szeto in her artist’s statement. “I use humble, end-of-life, mass-produced materials inspired by my experience as a faux finisher.”
