And he did it all from scratch...WTF?!
Reddit user mattdat posted about his amazing DIY project he embarked on recently. He was in need of a new coffee table and decided that he'd go the extra mile, make it double as a fish tank AND do it all from scratch.
The outcome will blow you away.
First, he took months researching and planning out his project.
It required a bit of manual labor to ensure that all of the pieces could hold air pumps and LED lights.
Before installing all of the lights, he first checked to make sure they all worked properly.
The most tedious task of all seemed to be the wiring for the LED lights, but mattdat knew that it would be well worth it.
As if building this from scratch wasn't enough, he installed a model airplane that doubled as a filter to keep the water clean.
After everything was built and installed, it was time to start filling the tank with water...
And adding beautifully colored decorations!
The finished product turned out amazingly!
The tablet you see atop the coffee table is used to control/adjust the LED lights inside of the tank.
The LED lights can be adjusted to display a range of colors.
And it looks like his new pets are very happy with their new home.
What an amazing accomplishment, after so much planning and creative energy.
