In 1997, The Tokio Express reached a tragic watery fate. The ship was wrecked off the coast of England. But years later, its contents started washing up on shore.
It was a kind of treasure, all right, but not the kind you might be thinking of...
The contents washed up from the ship were all LEGOs!
4.8 million different LEGO pieces, to be exact.
The ship had a total of 62 massive containers. 61 of the containers were either non discovered or just super mundane, but one of them contained the ultimate LEGO treasure.
The most ironic part? Most of the LEGOs were nautical themed!
