Japanese photographer Ariko Inako has been photographing twins Erna and Hrefna from Iceland every year since 2009.
Inaoka met the girls in 2006 when they were only 6 years old and started photographing them when they were nine. She hopes to continue the project until they turn 16.
Inaoka says the pair are always together, and their connection is almost telepathic.
She describes how, when speaking, one will begin a sentence and the other will pick it up mid-sentence, and then the first one will finish it, all naturally.
The twins have also told Inaoka they have had the same dreams in the past.
Inaoka describes their connection as beautiful and peaceful.
