After a year long study, these are the 10 catchiest songs of all time.

For the experiment, conducted by the Museum of Science and Industry in the United Kingdon, people played an online game called Hooked on Music. They could choose between four games, each one containing clips of the best selling songs of all time - from the 1940s to today. 12,000 people played the games, and the data was analyzed to see how long it took people to recognize the songs being played.

The resarchers came to the conclusion that a strong melodic hook in a song is the best way to caputre people's attention and register it in their memory. Below are the 10 catchiest songs, determined by the amount of time it took people to recognize the tune presented to them.
