This conceptual jewelry collection, created by Naomi Kizhner gives us a glimpse into a future where energy is scarce, but our thirst for it hasn't diminished at all. 

Energy Addicts, Kizhner's project, explores what would happen if we needed an alternative and extremely accessible way to generate new forms of energy. 

The jewlery pieces Kizhner created all feature a little bit of a creepy element. Needles. 

The pieces generate electricity by using the wearer's own blood and movement which then moves turbines and activates conductors that are attached to the body. 

Kizhner's work explores how far we'd be willing to go and how much we want to sacrifice to always have access to power.
