You may have heard of herd dogs before, but probably never like this one.

Meet Chip, the emu herder.

Chip works for the Longview Emu farm in Australia.

It's one of the largest emu farms in Australia, so Chip has his work cut out for him.

According to Jeff Long, one of the owners of the farm, Chip cuts down the work load of the farm workers by hours and hours.

Although Chip runs a tight ship when he's herding, apparently he's a big softie.

John reports that he loves playing with the birds.

But only when he's off the clock!

He also protects the owners from the older emus, who can get a bit aggressive.

Can't think of a cuter herder/body guard in the world!
