This is the most amazing story of an unlikely friendship. This poor donkey could have been dinner for this wolf, but instead things turned out very, very differently. It starts with the wolf that was captured and being held in a cage in the town of Patok, Albania. One day the wolf's captor put a donkey in the cage for the wolf to eat. But Instead of the wolf eating this poor donkey, they coexisted peacefully and became friends.
The people in Patok got a hold of this story and it quickly spread throughout the town. Eventually the Media was contacted.
The story was broadcasted on TV in Albania and the government received 12,000 letters petitioning for the animals freedom.
After all the pressure from the public, both the donkey and the wolf were released from captivity.
The donkey and the wolf still see each other from time to time, but they are both peacefully living in the wild now where they belong.
