The Manta Resort is located on the island of Pemba, Tanzania and they have a hotel unlike any other you’ve ever laid eyes upon. The resort is home to one of Africa’s first underwater hotel rooms, designed by Mikael Genberg of Gernberg Underwater Hotels AB.

This floating structure is made up of 3 different levels. First, there’s the landing deck which includes a lounge area and bathroom.
A ladder then leads from the landing deck to the roof, where you can also lounge and relax in the beautiful African sunlight or star gaze come nightfall.
But the main attraction is the downstairs bedroom which is below sea level and built of panes of glass allowing for a 360 degree view of the surrounding ocean.
At night, the floating hotel room has spotlights beneath each window that attract wildlife you won’t typically see during the day, like shyer fish and squid.
This is truly the best way to experience paradise.
