You Have To Solve A Puzzle On Each Page In Order To Read This Book
Logic your way through this one and reach the ranks of Da Vinci himself.
If you secretly loved “National Treasure” and have re-read “The Da Vinci Code” 12 times, you’re going to want to order the Codex Silenda, a complex five-layer puzzle book that requires you to successfully unlock one layer before moving on to the next.
It was created by puzzle-lover and industrial designer Brad Whitney as a senior thesis project-turned-crazy successful Kickstarter project (there’s already a waiting list for the books!).
Each intricate, laser cut page presents a unique challenge woven into the story of an apprentice in Da Vinci’s workshop who encounters the same codex made by the master to protect his work.
Each of the five layers represents a different puzzle with features like rotating discs, gears, mazes, sliders and rune codes to challenge every aspect of your logistical reasoning.
Kickstarter pre-orders are expected to ship by May 2017, after which everyone else will be able to order their own. In the meantime, you’ll have to re-read “The Da Vinci Code” for the 13th time.
