This Student Just Created the Most Incredible Faucet and Its Got Everybody Raving
Design student Simon Qiu from the Royal College of Art in London recently won an award for this new faucet design that produces incredible water swirling patterns, as well as uses 15% water.
The faucet has an incredibly elegant design, and the water coming out of it continues that idea.
The swirling water pattern is created by using two small turbines that rotate in opposite directions.
According to Qiu, the design uses 15% less water than a regular faucet, but maintains the same water pressure over the same amount of time, although that has yet to be independently verified.
I'm hoping it does do what Qiu says, because it truly looks beautiful, and it would be amazing to have such a wonderful piece of art that also does its job at saving the planet.
Currently the faucet is only a concept, but Qiu is working to build a prototype.
