Theme park junkies will never get to visit these attractions from the past.
1. Discovery Island: Bay Lake, Florida
Disney's Treasure Island was located here but was only open from 1974-1999.
2. What-If Labs: Walt Disney World Epcot Center - Lake Buena Vista, Florida
The What-If Labs were built in 1982 and closed in 1998.
It was replaced with an interactive play area.
Disney's Pop Century Resort: Lake Buena Vista, Florida
The resort rooms dedicated to each year between 1950-1990, so the resort itself isn't abandoned.
Another building was constructed to create rooms dedicated to 1900-1950, but after 9/11 construction was halted.
Disney River County: Bay Lake, Florida
This was first Walt Disney World Resort water park. It opened in 1976 but closed in 2001.
Nara Dreamland: Japan
It opened in 1961 and closed in 2006.
Some parts of the layout and attractions are exact replicas of parts of Disneyland.
Pripyat Amusement Park: Pripyat, Ukraine
The park was set to open in May, but was only open for a few hours in April to keep people entertained before they needed to evacuate because of the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl.
It was never reopen due to the dangerous radiation in the area.
Spreepark: Berlin, Germany
The park closed in 2002 due to financial issues, but is still standing and can be explored.
The park's owner attempted to open another park in Peru, but was later arrested for drug trafficking.
Gulliver's Kingdom: Kamikuishiki , Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan
It was only open from 1997-2001 and closed due to poor ticket sales.
It was also located near the Suicide Forest and a doomsday cult's meeting area, which may have deterred people from visiting.
Okpo Land: Opko City, Geoje Island, South Korea
The park was closed in 1999 after a series of deaths were reported.
Six Flags New Orleans: New Orleans, Louisiana
The park was opened in 2000 and was originally called "Jazzland."
The damage and flooding from Hurricane Katrina closed the park for good.
